Why Big Fr and Hungry F
Francium is the biggest element with the lowest IE and highest EN for it is at the bottom left of the period. Francium only has 7 shells and one valence electron to pull and it holds it very loosely making it bigger and having a low IE because it doesn't hold closely or very effectively a little bit of energy will cause it to lose its valence electron. Francium has the lowest EN for it doesn't attract electrons strongly but instead gives them away very easily since it's a big element. Helium is the smallest element with the highest IE for it has a full shell with only 2 electrons and one shell. Helium holds together its electrons very tightly and it takes an extremely large amount of energy to remove an electron. The Noble Gases have full valence shells and doesn't need to lose or gain electrons because they're already stable. They don't have EN values because they don't need another electron, they're full. Fluorine has the highest EN because it is at the top right and is the smallest element with an EN value and attracts electrons the best, for it wants an electron to be stable.

SILICON
SILICON
1) My name is Silicon in German I am Silicium, in Italian I am Silicio, and in Swedish I am Kisel.
I was discovered by Jöns Jacob Berzelius in Sweden and my name means "flint".
2) I look metallic, and my lust is very shiny and I look purely like the color silver.
3) My most common isotope has 14 protons and usually around 14 neutrons. My naturally occuring isotopes are 28-Si, 29-Si, and 30-Si, my half life is 170 years, and my natural abundancy for 28-Si is 92.2297%, for 29-Si is 4.6832%, and for 30-Si is 3.0872%. My average atomic mass is 28.0855.
4) My neutral atom has 14 electrons and 3 shells of electrons.
5) My atomic radius is 110pm.
6) The properties of my pure elements form include a melting point of 1414 Celcius, a boiling point of 2900 Celcius, a hardness of 6.5, shiny-silver lust, conductive and I react with Oxygen, the Halogens, and bases.
7) The abundance of Silicon in Jerry Dudum's body, who weighs 140lbs, is 36.4g. My abundancy in the Earth's crust is 270000000 ppb by weight and in our Universe is 700000 ppb by weight.

8) I form the compounds Silane SiH4 and Silicon Oxide SiO2 but I can form many, many more compunds these are just two of them.
9) I was discovered by Jöns Jacob Berzelius in Sweden, I was discovered when they were heating potassium chips in a silica container and then washing away the residual by-products.
10) Silicon is used in many things but two very common ones are it is used in making computer chips and making and producing glass which is used in a variety of ways.
11) Silicon is the most abundant element in the Universe.

Hi I'm Jerry
Hi, I'm Jerry Dudum and welcome to my blog. I made this blog for chemistry for Mr. Olson's class. I don't know what we will be writing about in this blog thing yet but so far i have to say welcome so yea welcome to my blog. I hope you enjoy reading my blog because I took time to write this and that would be nice if you read it. THANK YOU.
What I love? I love many things. I love food like sushi, pizza, and especially fast food. Mc Donald's is the bomb and is my favorite fast food restaurant. I also love my family because they are awesome and are always there for me whenever I need them. I love to hangout with friends, play football, and play games. Any game in general including sports, video-games, and other games.
My dreams are to become a famous person or something like that. i plan to accomplish this by doing something amazing in the world. Maybe something to do with sports, world records, money, knowledge, who knows. I plan to accomplish my dream by working my hardest, trying and never giving up at any point. I will strive to have a successful life and become famous or something like that.
